How does Eldritch Empowerment work?

it says "spells for which this sacrifice was FULLY made deal 30% more damage"
but what does " fully made" mean? Does this mean a spell only gets 30% more damage when it fully depletes your energy shield? Dernier bump le 1 mars 2026 à 13:04:43

FULLY refers to the costs. It sacrfices a % of your ES as cost. If you are not able to pay that %-wise cost fully (because you have less than that ES left) you dont get the benefits.

" AAAh i see now. So every spell automatically costs 5% of your max ES, you get 30% more damage. if you don't have 5% of your max ES left, than you can't cast and don't deal extra damage. How does this work with channeling skills? like if i use incinerate, how does it calculate the cost % wise per second or some other way? or won't channeling spells work with this? |

AFIK you can still cast, but you dont get the bonus. Otherwise the addional line would not be necessary. No cast, no bonus to be discussed ;) You can easily test it by using a unqiue helmet that turns your ES to zero. This helmet is useful on Lich anyway if you would like to set your life below 100% to gain addional bonuses from the passive skill tree.
To be honest I am not sure on channeling skills, but I suggest you use one and observe how yor energy shield depletes while using it, that should tell you how the costs are calcuated for channeling skills.
