Is it not possible to see your Base Str/Dex/Int in game?

So I'm struggling with this and I dont know if it's an oversight.

I want to know what my base stats are, independent of my items - so that when I allocate a node, I know exactly what to choose.

Right now you see only the total values you have which are modified by gear.

So instead of the tedium of removing all gear before I allocate points, it would be best to show the base values in the character sheet as well.

I can't for the life of me think of a reason why you'd need that to allocate points. Care to explain?

Mostly modified by skill tree and then gear IF you need any more attributes.

What exactly is your point here?

Very often happen that you have a piece of gears with +attributes on it that gets obviously added to your total attribute pool, also happens that you want to upgrade gears n stuff and it's fine until you change that piece of gear that remove that +att making other piece of gears unusable due to not met reqs.
Not so hard to understand and +1 to OP for me.

Ok, I'll bite.

You have an item which requires 30 Dex to equip. Your base Dex is 20, and you have an amulet giving you 10 Dex, so you can equip it.

You plan on changing that amulet, to do so you need to allocate 10 dex on your tree. Without knowing exactly what your Base dex is, you cannot exactly estimate how many nodes need allocating to Dex, unless you strip your character down and do it that way...

Has little to nothing to do with what you write here now.

So your point of wanting a warning message that if you remove that piece of equipment could cause you to loose other equipment since you will lack attributes is understandable.

Not so hard to understand...

For me it was and still is, cause I normally not struggle from stuff like that, since I am aware of my gear and the effects attributes have.
You could at the same time argue that it is not so hard to understand how attributes work and why you should check your gear before changing stuff...

But in addition OP talks about allocating points, which have nothing to do with the point you mentioning.

EDIT: You really tried to answer two guys at the same time with the same comment.... If you not see the irony of your behaviour to the point you guys critizice about the game....

Good luck with your attitude.... TF

What utter nonsense. If your amulet has +10 dex and you want to change it with an amulet without dex, you have to allocate exactly those 10 dex on the tree. It doesn't matter what your base dex is or how much dex you got on your other items. +10 dex is +10 dex, regardless if it comes from an item or the tree.

Of course it matters where the Dex comes from, because as you play the game, you swap your gear many times. especially when the +10 from gear comes in the form +3 from 1 item, +4 from another, +3 from a third, etc...

Except for the fact that i exactly got what the OP point was and didnt show my pro profile like you and the other guy did because if you dont struggle with something doesnt mean other shouldnt, toxicity not needed.

Edit: +attribute should be removed from mods pool

You still don't need to know the base value to figure out that you need 10 dex from the tree if you replace an item that gives you 10 dex with one that doesn't have 10 dex. Nothing you say makes any sense!
