How to stop the sprinting flickering while using blink

Hi, are there any solutions to the bug where it turns into the spring animation after blinking? I saw some solutions for PC, but for console i see none. And I dont think the shankgonne boots are a solution ...

yeah I think Blink could use some work, it felt really clunky so I only tried it twice and immediately removed it.

It's crazy because in starcraft my blink micro was insanely good, drunk bobby stalker blink micro, look it up. It's weird how there are barely any videos above 1 frame per second because that's the slang word a lot of people used for blink micro.

I don't know if it's grey area or outright against TOS (since it technically one press of button = one action).
Macro that presses Dodge and releases Dodge button in a timeframe small enough to not to turn Dodge into the Sprint.
Even without Blink Dodge is very inconsistent about not turning into the Sprint.

P.S. have not tested it , since don't know if such macro is legal. I have too many supporter packs bought to risk my account.

P.P.S. simplest solution would be different keys for Dodge and Sprint. But no... it's QoL feature and any QoL is considered cardinal sin for PoE.

I haven't noticed a problem with dodge / sprint. It works really well with WASD and is fluid. You can almost even roll in place, and control the distance of the roll better.

Just need to click dodge instead of hold. Idk how it feels on a controller, but WASD is working really well.

I'm not 100% sure about what Orphas said, but I wouldn't worry because it's a playtest, idk why they would do anything, I almost feel like it's a good thing if we find ways to glitch the game somehow as long as we report it.

yeah I think having dodge/sprint on 1 key just makes it twice as easy to control. having it on 2 keys would be pretty tough. But in a sense sometimes there is no need for dodge rolling, but its fine i don't think it takes away much from the gameplay. For Druid, it looks really good and functions really well.

I'm on WASD quick press-and-release of Dodge and then either small lags or big fingers turns 1 out of 20 dodges into Sprint for me.
Even when binded to one of mouse's side-buttons - same results.
I had exactly the same issues in Space Marine 2 where Bulwark had Block and Parry on the same key and hold or press-and-release of that key was the difference... and it was impossible to have consistent parry due to lag.

I'm not sure but i think the part about Blink that really sucks is that it feels worse to have than dodge roll, you can spam dodge roll as much as you want and there are boots that let you pass through units, it also practically makes you invulnerable for a moment.

I just felt like Blink was worse and sucked, maybe it needs a buff.

one thing they could do is have a longer span of hold for dodge before converting to sprint. During the entire duration of roll.

for Blink there could be a longer animation where you are invulnerable for half a second, so holding the blink key for less than half a second wouldn't convert to sprint.

The mobs should also not agro to the blink location during that time until the blink animation is finished.

100% they need a mechanic to be able to sprint without blinking as well.

I couldn't even tell you if using blink still allows you to sprint because that's how little I used it.

My best advice would be to click instead of hold for dodge. I put dodge on my mouse instead of space bar because it is easier to accidentally hold the space bar in a clutch situation.

Unfortunately blink does not work as a dodge roll, as the animation is overall faster and there is a weird interaction with "cast speed" being "too low". Im pressing the blink button as quick as I physically can, while half of the time Im "sprinting", causing 99% of my deaths. Its a weird thing to be honest, but unfortunately is nothing that physically can be done to improve it. Im afraid its a GGG thing they need to improve. I would really hope this would be done this league, but Im not keeping my hopes up on this ...

And as far as I understand, there is no solution at the moment, except these shankgonne boots where you cannot sprint, so it is what it is.

yeah I was under the assumption that having blink even made it impossible to sprint. That would suck vs the giant ant in the interlude that sprints towards you barely slower than sprint speed.

Maybe they will fix it in the future, I don't think it would be too hard for them.

I'm willing to bet that Blink is one of the most under used spirit spells, hopefully they have some data to back that up.

there are people using the macro to make blink feel not as garbage

also some content creators preach that the macro is legal to use in poe 2

It would be nice if a GGG associated person would confirm with a post that this is legal to use
Druid and new season hype - December 12th, 2025! Thanks GGG for putting in the work!
I'm sure you'll figure stuff out as you go and keep going.
