Huntress character impression & skill design feedback

-First impression & itemization
Huntress was the first class I played in poe2 and leveled her to 33 & stopped to experiment with other classes.

I did not utilize the player market much during that time.

I felt as though the spear damage in items was really low and finding a spear at a higher level was rare during the Acts, many upgrades to higher level spears did not feel like an upgrade.

-Skills
Although the lightning spear is the coolest skill animation she has imo, I think elemental damage is a strange approach to a huntress class.

I would like to see the class revolve around bleed, poison, traps, attack speed and crit.

It would be better not to commit to an elemental type and end up restricted to a third of her skill set. With sorceress it makes sense because you can max one element or do a hybrid build.

All of her skills should be based on player preference and not require a commitment into an elemental damage type.

-conclusion
Huntress is cool but it would be cooler if her theme was bleed, poison, traps, attack speed, crit. This goes along well with the theme of huntress.

Currently she is like the Amazonian from Diablo, I would like to see GGG take a unique approach to the class.

There is some crit specialty in the Amazon ascendency, but a bleed-themed or trap-themed section for the Huntress ascendency that isn't released yet would be really cool! Amazon ascendency has a lot of elemental-aligned things, but you also don't have to go that way with it. Amazon is pretty versatile. There's also a lot of attack speed on the passive tree near Huntress' starting point.

I don't necessarily mind Huntress/spears having a big elemental side to them, but more physical spear skills couldn't hurt. My main gripe is that nearly everything needs a Frenzy Charge to do anything interesting with it.
The base damage on spears is generally low compared to other weapons, sure, which makes bleed a little harder to build around without relying on crit, but it's still very doable. I had a blast with my bleed/poison Ritualist in Abyss league, but that's probably mainly because popping everything with Herald of Blood was so satisfying. I didn't use elements at all.

Quarterstaves have a lot of elemental skills too, variety isn't bad, I like that we can do elemental things with melee weapons outside of strictly spells.

And finding a good weapon of any kind during the campaign is very hit-or-miss, but that's kind of a different issue.

A lot of this I think will be alleviated when more weapon types are released, Huntress (like any class) will be able to use any of them.

Most of the Huntress skills feels like a Vision. Strange synergies that feels bad without each other. Like Rake is bad without Disengage. Storm Lance is bad without Explosive Lance. Some skills like Cull the Weak is just... WHY??? Elemental skills, physical, bleed, all cramped in one place and it just feels like it's not enough.
