Pinnacle Boss Pausing

Hi. I'm a HC player.

I use starlink and sometimes my connection gets unresponsive. When that happens, I normally press ESC to pause the game and leave the connection to restore itself. However, pausing in pinnacle boss doesn't work. Why is that? it doesn't make any sense to me. Pausing is great for people like me who has a not so reliable connection
