Quitting for now

Thanks for a few months of fun - I started middle of last league. I've explored the game thoroughly, created every class to lvl 30ish. I've had 4 characters now above lvl 90 so experienced most all content/endgame.
The game is great, and I really wish GG best of luck. It is superior to the main competitor that I'm aware of (Diablo) so don't intend to trash POE2 here because it is really great and gave me a lot of hours of enjoyment. Biggest frustrations I'd like to see in the future addressed (not prioritized): 1) Complexity with literally zero documented help. I can't tell you how many posts in Discord have gone unanswered, there are so many variables to builds to calculate, as much as the community tries, it is incredibly frustrating to spend literally 100s of hours trying to hone a build and then one-shot die repeatedly in mid tier (not even highest/juiced) end game. 2) Economy. After two leagues I am still amiss. I've poured extensive hours into crafting, target farming - wow. It just doesn't return fun factor at all for insane amount of hours invested. 3) Movement - idk I still find I'm running way too much on cleared content areas, way too long to find checkpoints - would be insanely great to have a hotkey to be able to quick hop/portal to nearest waypoint/checkpoint. I felt this the most through the campaigns 4) Flexibility with builds - this probably would be #1 oppty for improvement. The cost in cash, gear, crafting, passive skills - it is just insane. This limits your ability GREATLY to be able to experiment with builds. I think this contributes to why you see 1 to 2 meta builds emerge, there is just way too big of a spend needed to experiment with different builds. Diablo is way better in this respect, super easy and inexpensive (if I remember it doesn't even cost to whipe passive trees and gear is just thrown at you ridiculous amount) 5) Market - trading is still ... awkward and combersome. There is an aspect of complexity I like, but ultimately, especially for new folks - the hurdles are too high for an enjoyable trading experience. You have to invest dozens of hours initially just to get to level you can participate (and in campaign) and I get the strategy is to eliminate bots - but seriously. There just has to be a better design. Utilizing all the different currencies is incredibly frustrating/opaque for new players so simplifying to a single currency would be great. 6) Crafting - meh. So much could be improved, like building skill level over time for different types of crafting etc to improve RNG. RNG just not fun. Whoever came up with this in game design way back ... arg. It just isn't fun to spend countless hours farming cash, currencies and raw materials to get useless rng items over and over and over. Crafting in all games though has been really challenging, I get it. I think New World did it the best honestly, GG might research what they've done, it feels rewarding while huge time investment and you grow skills to improve rng over time. 7) Temple - ok, you've been beat up a ton over this. Ya, it sucks. Like, incredibly sucks. Even the 'improvements' in the patch didn't save it. Each time I get the popup console in a map that a temple is available, literally, I cringe and have a physical reaction (not a good one) and have to hesitate and think, do I really care/want to do this again... Abyss was so great. Anytime in a map I get an Abyssal Depths I get an electric excitement jolt and hop in. So something right done there - doesn't happen even close with Temples. 8) Rewards overall (tied to economy) - really odd to run a fully juiced high tier map, find a cool uber boss that is a challenging fight, then get... a Regal Orb drop... really? Again overall, absolutely love POE2. I'll be back at a later time maybe - will watch for changes/improvements over time. Dernier bump le 27 janv. 2026 à 15:36:50

Your last point hits hard. Drops from normal mapping are completely dead.
I'm running 1 portal double corrupted 10 mod T15 maps with Irradiation and Boss Empowerment and they literally drop like 1 regal orb per map. I miss the Atlas Tree from Poe1 where i can disable all league encounters and just do regular maps on my favorite layouts and still drop stuff. |

+1
Mapping in general will not do anything for you, its the pinnacle content you farm that has any potential of making the big $$$ Or farming corrupted/cleansed maps, cleansed for fracturing orbs trading at 1:40 You won't see anything untill you unlock rare tablets, and start running 0 revive maps or 1 revive, I have no issue with 0 revive maps at this point in time Making progress in endgame takes alot of playing around, trying out new gear different nodes to make an ever slight difference, that slight difference is whats stopping you from being able to do the harder content Even mapping 0 revive maps, 3 rare tablets, mainly doing abyss's, still see barely anything, hence why people look for 1 skill does it all builds and zoom zoom, ive started zooming around it just took alotta playing around with skills, theorycrafting etc etc They need to make some changes to endgame, maps do feel too large, people are tired of slogging through, they want to rush through maps as fast as possible as that maximizes drops, to find that citadel, or that jade isles, or that corrupted nexus, the nodes inbetween? GARBAGE Pinnacle content as a whole needs work, atlas tree aswell, what makes me mad is abyss's being locked behind RNG xD Still no lightless void to this day, I'm level 95.... |

" Also on your point, bosses don't drop shit, I learned this after a while, their drops are worthless, you'll see the odd greater ex, as frequently as you do just from monsters in the map, overseer tablets legit only good for the maps with the best loot aka jade isles corrupted nexuses +1 to monster level nodes etc, the only good tablet mods being bosses drop increased rarity/quantity/ex, pairing it with other tablets that increase rarity/quantity of items Overseer tablet is almost useless, overpowered bosses no different then normal xD I kill both equally as fast Making solid progress in endgame is entirely gear dependant, kinda like diablo 3 Dernière édition par Jobama#9902, le 27 janv. 2026 à 15:36:59
