Point is lazy design. If honor pool depends on health pool, it should also depend on health substitutes. Maybe not on exotic effects from unique items, but everything coming from passive tree should be accounted for. Sanctum is now "mandatory content" after all:)

Yes, you know it, others with PhD in poe know it. New players don't know it. Game never informs you that you can get same rewards later via completely different gameplay. Instead, this "ascent to power" side quest is presented as mandatory, players are made to feel they would lose much if they skip it.

Furthermore, ultimatum has balance issues as well. All random debuffs are present in boss rooms, turning choreography into classic poe dps check.

Community is for figuring out dirty ways to trigger impending doom in endgame. Campaign and main questline should be entirely self-contained. Having to consult wiki from the very beginning to avoid wasting time is not normal.

Yet in 0.1 GGG didn't even bother to explain which of sanctum/ulti fragments were interchangeable, and had added tooltip about ascendancy points only after a lot of people wasted time running this not-so-pleasant content without getting points. And you couldn't even retry your first barya second time lol.

It may be a point of real pride for some to "figure things alone", but academically, confusing your players is unnecessary problem and could've easily been avoided.

On topic, same goes about honor pool calculation. Pure armor or EV players may not even know how ES adds to honor pool and how high you can stack it. Or may suddenly find their build incapable, like MoM. Unless you're masochist temporalis farmer, running sanctum on ES is much easier.
