Hear Me Out, Base Currencies Should Be Only Currencies.
|
The base currencies should be the only currencies.
Make them have a player level locked effect where they act as greater after level X and perfect after level Y. This would reduce complexity and buff crafting across the board. It would make the game feel so much more intuitive especially for new players. Please change my mind. Dernier bump le 26 janv. 2026 à 08:00:57

I like it, mostly because the upgraded currency doesn't drop enough, at least for me, to be very useful for crafting.

At this point I'm just glad we even have those greater/perfect options coz POE1 doesn't have that.
So, I'm fine with they staying. |

The tiered currencies are great as you have rare drops for the good endgame crafts (as it should be) while still having the common drops for spams like maps and other quick trash gambas.

But ur trash gambas could jus be better and have less bloat for a game thats just getting started with the amount of currencies they are goin to have.
also i thought poe2 was supose to be less bloaty and more simple I think this would set a good stardard going forward so everytime we get a new league mechanic we get like 3-10 new currencies n we dont get 10-30 new currencies to keep track of n learn the specifics of it will get out of hand pretty quickly if not simplified in some way. |

Eh just use a loot filter to hide them. You can pretend the lower currencies don't exist.
You can just trade some chaos orbs or divine if you ever need them. Or turn the filter off. |

I brought this up a while ago and still think its lazy design. Effect of currency should be tied to item level making picking up things to use currency on worth it in 80-86 maps. everything can still roll just the higher lvl the base the lower chances of dog shit t12 mods will roll.

i like the tiered currency, it locks out bad things as you progress in the game.
if removed, any random exalt slam could roll t12, that was gross in prior patches and felt super bad. the RNG pool still feels too large (cause who needs light radius and accuracy lol) |

|
Perhaps we can reforge them using the reforge but its so many clicks and the worst design to be done ever.

" Wym by lazy design? Low tier currency are still useful for tablets, waystones, jewels, charms, flasks. Lazy is wanting everything to scale without effort at all. You should be glad that higher tier currency even exists in the first place. If u want to only roll higher tier mods, then use all higher tier currency. POE2 by design is to make drops more valuable, and yes they definitely are. Dropping 170% phys fetch a huge price and that's not the kind of things u should be looking by spamming low tier currency. It's the kinda of "lucky drop" that GGG going for. There was no way to fix POE1, and here in POE2 they achieved exactly that. Making rare/blue drop MIGHT be valuable. What we actually need perhaps a system to drop all item identified. Maybe a rare tablet mods or something. Or bigger bag space coz those 2x4 weapon are really eating space up.
