It would be great if we got less COG wheel renderer crashes

I'd honestly rather have it just straight up crash - think im hovering around once every 30-45 minutes or so. put the game down more often than I would like due to this this past couple of weeks :/

I agree with everything you said.

The game needs a very big optimization & general performance overhaul.
I'm running my game on a gaming laptop with these specs
CPU: i7-13700hx
RAM: 32 GB DDR5
GPU: nVidia RTX 5060
Storage: NVMe M2

The game runs abysmal
. I'm shocked at how many fps drops happen during Ritual trials, but what annoys me the most is light crashes , freezes during skill use and so on.

The biggest FPS drop that I have ini this game is visiting the Town.
It drives me crazy that GGG cannot fix wthe performance in towns.

I don't know where I heard/read this, either during one of the interviews with the game creators Jonathan and Mark, or on some streaming , I don't remeber where.
But at one point Jonathan said that the reason behing the FPS drops in town is because when we are in town, we're not only loading the map,MTX texture etc for our character, but we're acuallly loading the MTX and STASH TABS of other players in that area as well.

This is insane..why would my game load the inventory/ stash tabs of other players?
I understand that MTX is loaded because it's a visual effect and we are supposed to see what other MTX other players run/ equip.

But their inventory?...
How does that help me?

Same Issue here.

New Installation

Windows 11 all updates.
Latest NVIDIA Graphics Drivers

Ryzen 7 9800XD3
RTX 5080
32 GB Corsair vengence 6000 MHX
The Grinding Gears of Eternity screen is due to shader crashing/reloading. For nVidia cards, increasing Shader Cache allows for more compiled shaders to be stored and helps prevent reloading shaders.
Nvidia App -> Graphics -> Global Settings -> Shader Cache Size
Set to a higher size, 10GB or 100GB.

Another thing to look at to help prevent other graphics-based crashes can be found in this thread.
Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.
First in the credits!

its crazy that we load other player stash tabs when we don't load our own lmao

I tried that, trust me, I work in IT for 15 years now, I know these basic "torubleshooting steps" and they mean absolutely 0 when the game is poorly optimized.
We should not be forced to make tweaks around on new rigs if the game is optimized properly.

Yeah, I just do not understand how they cannot fix this.
It's tiresome to have such big fps drops just because I load the stash of other players, without me even opening my stash
rtx 4070 ti super

0 issues
fresh reinstall with DDU
shader cache 10gb
stock settings
+1 Had these since 0.3
Crazy. I'm running a freaking 1080 and have no real issues.
