Anti crafting items

Simple idea. An item in the drop table ment only for use not crafting.
Up to two mods on the item but with a catch.
The mods would be a sort of collection of 2-3 prefixes and two-three suffixes. Locked to one type.
Major bangers would be something like a suffix on a quarter staff that is (+4,+5,+7) 16 to attack skills. The drwaback would be something like durability but different. Say.. Item deteriorates after getting shocked 5 times in the last 15 seconds. This would cause the item to reduce something. Also, the item would gain its hit damage by attacking a white mob to death, then the item would unlock to be able to hit that total life of that mob in a hit.
If crafted on the the item would retain only 1 of the accumulated bonuses (eg. fracture the item retains either +4, +5, or +7 to attack skills).
Potentially you could power up the weapon on the highest mob you could solo, then gain the ability to do a range of damage based on that mobs health you killed.
I’m only suggesting this because there isn’t a real moment in PoE that makes you feel instant gratification like I remember feeling in the early days of gaming. My example of this would be in Diablo one. I would reach a floor where all the mobs were difficult to take down and would take minutes to kill a small pack. Then a scroll of fireball would drop and I would instantly be powerful for that moment in time. Unique item Inlike early on get power crept real quick.
Also maybe using skills for that weapon might determine not just the weapons hit damage but scales range, base crit, attack speed. The more strike skills you use the more focused on that type of gameplay the evolution takes.
Items in this category could be called ‘The Old Ones’
Just an idea. This is coming from a player that almost never gets to endgame. I enjoy the fight of each enemy, the way they fight back, the way I can manage the fight against many. My favorite skill is Parry. There aren’t enough active block/parry skills in game. Need something similar for unarmed/staff. Skill - poke/prod. Will be in line with bash and parry. While enemy is in strike range you feel out the enemy and use a feint. This causes enemy a moment of confusion. They either attack that spot or just stop pursuit as if they had come into contact with you but haven’t readied the attack hit yet. Maybe there can be a light stun based on damage delt. This way you can manage those mobs that are in high pursuit.
Best moments in game are when Im crowded and I successfully parry multiple enemies while dodging and juking projectiles.
