Steam's keyboard overlay won't open

Heya,

I was wondering if anyone else is unable to open the steam overlay keyboard? I am using Steam Controller to play, but setting a binding to open the virtual keyboard does nothing. Thus, for now I have to keep a keyboard nearby in order to search for things, or name my character.
