Overcapping resistance

Hello everyone,

As much as I know, Negative Resistances from these effects are always applied to the total uncapped Resistance that an entity has. For example if a character has 75% (114%) Lightning Resistance, this means they have an effective 75% Lightning Resistance for the purpose of Resistance mitigation and 114% uncapped Lightning Resistance. If the character had Exposure inflicted on them, their Lightning Resistance would now be 75% (94%) following the -20% Resistance from a default Exposure.

Is this still the same or changed?

It depends on effect.

If it is just -X% form res then it is about whole res one has.

If it is -% to Max Res then it affect max res level.

so even if my fire resistance is 100% (75 available and 25 overcap) I can get a -30% debuff that makes it 45% ?

+1

This is the reason why i generally wont run MAX Res mods. Unless they are like below 10.
