fracture didnt carry over during recombination(solved wasnt a bug)

I wanted to craft myself a talisman so i fractured a +7 melee skills. I got myself a t1 physical damage and recombined it with that the recombination was successful but the fracture didnt carry over which always happens with other items when i succesfully recombine. thankfully i was making a video for my youtube channel at the time so you can see the video footage of it at 29:26

Fracture will be retained after recombination if the chosen base had a fractured mod.
In your case, the second base without the fractured mod was chosen. Base with fracture has 83 ilvl, second base has 82 ilvl, resulting item has 82 ilvl (the second one). Dernière édition par seaman#4993, le 5 janv. 2026 à 07:18:56

is that that the lower item level base is always chosen or is it a 50/50

I guess 50/50.

yeah makes sense so i won the recombination but lost the 50/50 damn but thanks for the info i thought the fracture always stays now i can safely try again xD

tried like 5 times and it never choose the fractured base there has to be a reason maybe it chooses the base with the higher level mod

It seems, judging by the wiki and its link to the recombination guide, the base chance is 50/50, before accounting selected mods. The chance then changes depending on the mods weight.

yeah i also found that answer so t1 phys having a high level and low tierr makes the recombination choose that base rather than the good base with the bas modifier. its kinda annoying tho they already removed homogenising exaltation which was the main strat to get items last league and recombination is very good to start up with the crafting but its pretty useless afterwards
