Trial of Sekhamas energy shield either bugged or tooltip deceptive
|
The affliction that gives you -50% to energy shield also lowers your maximum honor proportional to how much that energy shield was contributing to your max honor. This is not what a reasonable player could interpret from the wording on the tooltip. The affliction should say it will also lower the contribution to the max honor that the reduced energy shield was providing.
Expected results - Taking the affliction that lowers your energy shield by 50% would lower only your energy shield by 50% Actual results - Taking the affliction that lowers your energy shield correctly reduces the energy shield and also lowers your maximum honor proportionally to how much your energy shield was contributing to that maximum honor. Proposed fix - Either make the affliction not lower the maximum honor as well, or update the tooltip to state the consequential loss of maximum honor. Dernier bump le 5 janv. 2026 à 01:02:59

" Yeah, no, anyone whose done trials for more than the first time is aware that anything that lowers your defensives(IE, Life, armour, Mana, ES ect) is aware that taking that will lower your honour. What youre proposing is literally writing a novel in the affliction to idiot proof it, which isnt worth while. People will take it once, realize, and never take it again, or plan around it, not everything in the game has to been explained in great detail, some things can be trial and error. |

Things should do what they say, not what they say and sometimes more. The first time you take that affliction it is a surprise and the djinn baryas are a somewhat scarce resource. I think asking for a more descriptive tooltip to avoid the feeling after you take that affliction the first time wouldn't take too much verbiage. Something like " Decreases Maximum Energy shield 50% and Maximum Honor accordingly." would suffice. There might even be shorter ways of saying it.

Your honor pool is based on your ES. Losing or gaining that will affect honor.
I think it's pretty straightforward. |

" Fail once, dont do it again, simple. The game shouldnt be idiot proofed because someone doesnt understand a mechanic. If you've never done trials before, try googling it, ask in global,"Whats honour and how does it work" someone will answer it. If you go in totally blind and brick yourself, that isnt the games fault, its yours. |
