Ancient Desecrated Currency Never Drops

Consider how it doesn't even guarantee T1 modifiers, I don't understand why ancient abyss currency simply NEVER drops. Is this intentional? Given the amount of ilevel 82 maps I've done with abyss, this is ridiculous. Not very respectful of player time.
