Bring Back Izaro's Labyrinth for ALL Ascendancy Trials!
|
Hey GGG & Exiles,
PoE2 rocks fluid combat, killer visuals, endless depth. 0.4.0c hotfixes have made trials smoother, keep it up! That said, nothing beats Izaro's Labyrinth: ~10-15 min adrenaline rushes, daily layouts, trap mastery, offering strats, his epic voice lines & "crazy rewards" (enchants!). Pure replayable magic. Suggestion for 0.5 endgame rework: Replace Sekhemas/Chaos entirely with Izaro labs top-to-bottom for campaign (points 2-6), Eternal/Uber for endgame (8). Exact PoE1 mechanics + PoE2 polish = short, high-skill bliss everyone loves. Dernière édition par CrimeWreck#4994, le 4 janv. 2026 à 18:13:22 Dernier bump le 6 janv. 2026 à 02:05:27

" izaro is too easy. bringing it to poe2 is not good idea. the easyness will cause poe2 to degenerate into a hello kitty game. 34pre98qua

That is true, BUT they could make it more challenging. Sekhema and Chaos is just bad and we have no idea what ToTa will be. Lab could be fit easily since we have our lovely time travelling companion with us. The lab in PoE2 should be from the times it was created so even more dangerous than PoE1 lab.

i don't mind sekhema or chaos, but for the love of god please remake trials of chaos. the layout and everything is terrrrrrrrrrrrible
that said izaro is my favourite poe character and can't wait for him to be in poe2 |

+1 For my boy Izaro and his beautiful voice.
Also, some here is saying Lab was easy... No, lab was fair. Nobody likes wasting their time with arbitrary stuff that could end your chance of progressing just in name of artificial challange. And I say artificial because this is what Sekhema and Chaos does. The trial keeps stacking downsides until it breaks your character. You have the right to believe that this is fun but you need to understand that some people don't want that. And for that, one more +1 for Lab and Izaro. Fair, not much time wasted, teach you some lore and get the job done. |

I don't think lab should come to poe2. Keep it a poe1 thing.
That said, sekhemas and the chaos trial need to be changed. When I finish them and rather than feel excitement that I'm stronger, I feel relief that I don't have to go through the trial again, it means it's not fun to play. Personally I think a solution involves changing the mods/boons/afflictions to be more around "buff/modify the monsters" rather than "nerf the player" because it just makes it feel like choosing between getting punched in the face or kicked in the balls, and no one likes that. Modifying monsters feels like an actual challenge and something that you should build your character up to overcome, rather than build it up to tolerate bring brought back down. I understand there's a mental aspect (monster has 20% more life is similar to you do 20% less damage) but it really does make a difference and you could also throw in cooler modifiers like "monster slams have 20% aftershock chance" or "abyssal rares can appear" or "X boss will appear sometime during the trial" (you don't know what zone, or when - could be with another boss lol). I'm not even that creative I'm sure there's cooler ones. Anyways make it a challenge that is overcome because our character is strong and we are skilled, not one we overcome despite being a weak and slow gimped version of ourselves. It's similar to the reason people hate tempchains/chilled ground. Dernière édition par karsey#2995, le 5 janv. 2026 à 13:36:22

" With Sek at least you can, theoretically, path it better. IMO after honour resist if you get a relic that lets you see further ahead it's insanely powerful. For me the worst debuffs in it are the choices that hide the afflictions, room types, and rewards. If it were up to me I'd just remove those three debuffs since it completely removes all strategy from playing the trial. If I end up stuck on a path that's going to lead to one of them I just restart my run with a new key, not worth it. Not that I'm opposed to changing it since I don't actually like doing it, though it's nice to have a spot for high potential of time lost jewels. With chaos it's all bad all the time. Also the descriptions are terrible. It's something like "a blood globule periodically falls from the sky dealing area damage" but it doesn't tell you the period it falls at is like every 4 seconds, the damage it does one shots you, and the area it covers is like 70% of the screen. |

" PoE2 is already hello kitty island adventure, nothing offers any challenge. Literally just look for the overly dramatic wind up animation and dodge... or just play ES and face tank it. |

I dont mind Chaos but Sekhema i despise.
First one is doable after i ovelevel hoever second one is jus to frustrating. If it stays my ascendancy will get limited to 4 points because i just dont see myself finishing the second one. Maby do them as optional? I meas i could do just sekhemas or just chaos or both. Dernière édition par de99ial#0161, le 6 janv. 2026 à 02:05:38
