Chronomancer & anihilation feedback and suggestion
|
Hello,
For this 0.4 patch, I decided to play Annihilation, despite the fact that on paper, it's not great because you need to wait 7 seconds or for the monster to be stationary to use it. This condition could’ve made the skill unplayable, but I found a way around it. Here’s my build: It’s a Essence Drain, Contagion, Dark Effigy setup, all very standard. I’m running the Annihilation gem on Despair. All of this is paired with Chronomancer. The goal is to hit Despair level 40 and use Time Freeze on bosses to land hits. The Time Freeze lasts 7 seconds on my character, which is perfect for landing Annihilation. While waiting, I use Inevitable Agony, which, with my Curse Magnitude, gives me 49% more damage. For defense, I have a lot of Energy Shield and Temporal Chains & Enfeeble, combined with Blasphemy. That’s 112% slow and 50% less damage taken. Now, onto my suggestions: Firstly, the feel of the build is cool, but I think Annihilation should do more damage to make it more viable. The setup feels a bit lackluster in its damage potential given the time constraint. Secondly, and for me the most important issue, is the Chronomancer. There are just too many spells in that ascendancy. I don’t have enough binds to play all the abilities it offers. I find myself not using Temporal Rift, which I think has great potential. Speaking of Temporal Rift, it should be usable in all situations, meaning it should either stun, freeze, or immobilize enemies without the risk of being interrupted. This would also mean we could clear those types of afflictions while using it, even if it comes with a higher cooldown. That would make the skill genuinely attractive. Now, as for the issue with having too many spells: I think Inevitable Agony should just be a passive ability that states that cursed enemies take, say, 15-20% more hit damage, which would be further enhanced by Curse Magnitude, and it should apply the less damage taken modifier to blue, yellow, and unique enemies. Also, this debuff could stack if the monster has multiple curses on it. These changes would make Chronomancer much more fun to play and would take it out of the purely support role. Thank's a lot for this game :D Dernier bump le 4 janv. 2026 à 03:55:50
