Blood elemental bugged

so in poe2 i was trying to get blood elemental to spawn to get him as specters. what i found is that the blood priestess would not sacrifice a vaal goliath, none of them would. I reset the game and area, I eventually got a blood priestess to use the skill but it tried like 10 times before it worked. Maybe make it a projectile that locks on rather than a up-close dagger stab that doesn't register.
