[3.27] The sturdy Ice Nova Templar

Hmmm ... I think the resistance over the cap is lost ... and the altars are bitting directly into the 86% that I have max. Not sure that's how it goes, but that seems logical to me.

Overcap is lost in a vacuum, but in mapping you have several ways your resistance can be lowered.

Some of the ways are not able to be easily mitigated, such as the map mod -x% to all max res.

But eldritch alters bite into your total resistance, not your max resistance. This is easy to test, just grab a minus resistance alter and pull up your character info tab. Youll only see your resistance go below your max cap if you dont have enough overcap.

For examle, on my current character, which stacks lightning resistance to scale mana, I still have cold resistance on my boots, as it allows me to take 1 Eater alter with minus cold resistance, with double effect from tree, without killing my cold resistance

Thanks for the info, very useful!

I assumed it is like the the -12% or -20% from the map properties.
I discovered one more useful setting for the body armour:

You can add block (spell or attack) up to 10% from the Eater influence!

That would be a full major skill if you have the finances to support it, a thing that you cannot do on the uniques.

I used the lesser eldritch ichor for now, and switched from 18% armor to 5% extra spell block, but in the future 10% is on my list of todos.
