Improving Salvaging and Vendor Efficiency

Improving Salvaging and Vendor Efficiency

Path of Exile 2 has a lot of great depth, but the current process of clearing out an inventory can feel a bit tedious. Between the different benches and vendor options, it feels like there is a lot of unnecessary friction when just trying to manage items found during gameplay.

1. Inventory Salvaging (Sockets & Quality) Right now, filling your inventory with base items just to transport them to the Salvage Bench feels like a chore that slows everything down.

The Change: Add a "Salvage" button directly in the inventory UI to break down items for Sockets and Quality materials. The Why: This would let us clear space immediately. It keeps the focus on the world and finding upgrades rather than playing "Inventory Tetris" with items we know we are just going to scrap anyway.

2. Unified Selling & Disenchanting Having to decide between selling for Gold or Disenchanting for Fragments creates a constant "choice-paralysis." We are already making a lot of complex decisions in this game; adding more for basic item disposal feels overwhelming.

The Change: Combine these into one action. Selling an item to a vendor should simply provide both the Gold and the relevant Orb Fragments at the same time. The Why: This removes the extra clicks and the "mental tax" of deciding how to get rid of junk. It makes the trip to town much snappier so we can get back to the actual game.

These adjustments would help reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed by inventory management without taking away from the importance of the loot itself. What do you guys think?
