Unreasonable team rewards not only affect the gaming experience but also discourage solo players.
|
Forming a team already saves teammates' tickets, so why are the in-dungeon rewards higher than soloing? The amount of items in the map depends on the players? This undoubtedly undermines the sense of realism in the game. It gives an overwhelmingly ridiculous and fake feeling, and it also creates a large number of team-bound players who forcibly team up and combine for higher rewards at the cost of losing the gaming experience. More solo players, however, choose to leave due to the collapse of the in-game economy.

I play in a team of two regularly and don't notice an increase in drops. Also the drops are split between the players, so while we may be getting 50% increased rarity, it's divided between two players.
I will also say that playing in a group (with casual players) feels like more work. If all the players are not above the DPS curve, then it takes forever to burn down bosses and tanky mobs. Next, grouped players don't get the rewards. For example: if you defeat King of the Mists in a party, only the party leader gets the atlas reward book (for +2 atlas points in the ritual tree). This applies to nearly every end-game quest reward. I have to complete those rewards on my own, outside of group play. Lastly, the league mechanic benefits a single player in the party. For example, clearing one of the incursion pedestals in a map rewards only one player in the party with an "incursion charge" (the 6 charges you need to access your vaal temple). So in a party of 4, it takes 4 times as many maps for all the players to complete one wave of their temple. Also the player that gets the incursion charge is seemingly random (it's no random, but it's definitely not round-robin). So one player in the party will likely complete two temple sessions before another player completes one. So while I get your concern, solo players are a little better off overall in my opinion. |

They simply don't care about this issue. The six-person team now earns ten times as much as a single player.
