The bad parts of this game make me feel like I am forcing myself to play.

I want you guys to know that I intentionally waited until I crafted a good item before writing this so this is actually the tempered version.
The good: I love the "kinetic feel" of the game. POE 1 does not feel like your character is interacting with the environment or monsters. You're just sort of floating through it. Sekhema Trial feels very reasonable and ultimatum is... getting there. Warrior has a playable build that doesn't make me want to throw up, (and doesn't require the worst thing in this game: Giant's blood). Anecdotally, I'm crashing less and getting better frames ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Bad: Sprinting and checkpoints: There is no direction that this game can take that is both good and keeps these in the game. Sprinting is a dumb mechanic in basically every game in every genre. It feels like you gave us a fidget spinner for the boring parts of the game and then punish us for using it. The difference between a good player and a bad player in terms of dying to sprint is that the good player is willing to tank a 10 minute wait to kill their instance because they got hit out of sprint, not that they use it more safely. The fact that these were even floated should have been a giant crimson flag that something had gone horribly wrong with the layout design. Every time I dodge roll and accidentally start a sprint only to immediately get stunned, I am millimeters from uninstalling the game. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Ugly Structures and the environment: I am playing shield wall, so this is definitely a worse problem for me but it basically affects every build that isn't minions as far as I can tell. Shield wall getting totally eaten by structures like abyss pits does not feel like a bug. It feels intentional. When you do a map like the Mansion or Mire and you get an abyss pit in the middle of a constrained area, it totally destroys your ability to play the video game. Abyss, Expedition structures, edges of the map that are totally invisible without looking at the minimap, tiny rocks, all of it. Difficulty and one-shot mechanics: I think basically 0 times this league have I felt like I was in any kind of danger. I have ~50 deaths after a TON of mapping but other than occasionally thinking "I should just unbind sprint" I have never felt like I was about to die. I'm just alive and then I'm dead with zero warning that anything happening around me is more dangerous than what came before. Sometimes I get hit by a giant telegraphed slam attack from a boss and my HP doesn't move and I think "wow that's crazy, I should just be dead to that", then I get hit by 1 random ass sky beam from Geonor and it 1 shots through 4k HP and 50k armor applied to cold. Danger and the appearance of danger in this game are basically uncorrelated. After playing for 500 hours. Dernier bump le 24 déc. 2025 à 13:29:23

As a Wyvern Rend Flame Breath player i have to agree with everything you said.
I have to use sprint between every Rend and while i'm using Flame Breath the fire creates so much visual clutter i can't see anything so i just die to telegraphed attacks i couldn't see. Even if i see them I'm suspended mid-air and dodge roll can't cancel flame breath quick enough basically getting stuck in the animation. The sprint and visual clutter is basically destroying my full enjoyment of the game. Not to mention the fact that i have to constantly suspend my combat to micro manage my power charges which are a pain to keep while fighting bosses. It feels like this game is no longer designed for fun. I had way more fun in Poe1 with 1 button builds without the complication of micromanaging COMBO tactics. |

" Well lucky you...you can not play POE 2 if your not having fun and keep playing POE 1. |

No i can't. Poe2 spoiled me with WASD so i can't go back to Poe1 until they implement WASD.
My life is over :( |

" Sounds like a personal problem broski |
