Portals crashing game after opening waystone

As title says, i have come across MULTIPLE atlas map nodes that after using a waystone on them and the portals get opened, the game fully crashes EVERY. SINGLE. ATTEMPT. at entering the portal. I believe i have come across 8 of them now and it is severely hindering my progress...does anyone know of a fix?
