The Lich Ascendancy
|
Dear Grinding Gear Games Team,
I'm writing to respectfully ask you to reconsider the recent change to the Lich ascendancy - specifically the Eternal Life passive - which removed the interaction that allowed spamming crossbow shots while wielding The Last Lament. I understand and fully respect the need to balance powerful builds. However, this particular change feels less like a balance adjustment and more like the complete removal of an interaction that many players found interesting, fun, and build-defining. I've seen hundreds of comments across the community expressing frustration and disappointment with this change. The general sentiment seems to be that players would much rather see the build nerfed (for example through numbers, scaling, or limitations) than have the interaction removed entirely. The interaction itself felt intentional and creative, and its removal significantly reduces build diversity and player experimentation. Path of Exile has always been at its best when strong or unusual interactions are adjusted rather than erased, preserving the fantasy and mechanical identity of builds while keeping them in check. I hope you'll consider revisiting this decision and exploring alternative balance solutions that keep the interaction alive in some form. Thank you for your time, and for your continued work on the game. Kind regards, A POE2 Lover Dernier bump le 22 déc. 2025 à 22:59:21

This is a change to The Last Lament, not The Eternal Life

It would be cool if they left it in. Lich doesn't really have many good offensive builds. It's a very defense oriented ascendancy and lags behind most others in damage by quite a bit.
