Needing to play a meta build and grind gear at lvl 30 on the first playthrough of the campaign isn't skill-oriented gameplay, it's just unbalanced, overly tedious when people want to get to the endgame and play different builds. This grind makes that difficult and makes testing new or unconventional builds impossible. I would have thought there would have been better balancing since dawn of the hunt, but leveling isn't even fun.

" In one sense you're right. If you're not especially capable of getting through the game with the application of skill, you have the option of grinding gear until there's no need for skill. However, it's also possible to practice the fights that you're bad at until you get better at them. I'm certainly not amazing at the game or anything, I've done a bit of a mixture of both over the past year, and at this point I feel like the campaign is not especially difficult. I highly recommend a bit of practice... it's a really fun feeling to realize that a boss you once found challenging even with good gear and defences, you can now defeat them with trash gear. They did make it easier after Dawn of the Hunt by the way, and I gotta say, now I wonder... did I actually get better at the game, or is it just that they made it easier?
