Endgame Bosses

I have observed a recurring problem with new pinnacle or league bosses in PoE 2. Put simply, they often only give you one attempt. If you die once, you are kicked out. I think this is a big problem.
PoE 2 has many powerful bosses that require the player to understand and evade their attacks. This design works great when players can fail, learn, and try again. This is how the campaign works and it is broadly popular as far as I can tell. This does not work when the first time you fight a boss, you dying means you have to wait 1-40 hours to fight them again. We saw this already with the original set of pinnacle bosses, and to GGG's credit they have updated these fights. Now when you fight Arbiter the first time, you have unlimited attempts. So why do we keep getting hard new bosses that kick us out after dying once? The Architect and Atziri are both quite lethal bosses, and if you die to them you aren't going to get to try again for several maps. This is a very frustrating experience, and encourages users to only fight them when they are so strong they can ignore the mechanics or after studying the fight on youtube. To me, this is an obvious fundamental issue. The first time you encounter a boss, you should always be able to fight it again immediately until you have learned it well enough to be it. Then after the play is familiar with a boss, you can introduce limited revives as an extra challenge. Thank you for taking the time to read, have a happy holidays. this is bad developing.
they will change mind, when all community cut support, and cross they arms. 1 portal is the ultimate example of a complete lack of creativity and incompetence. The community needs to wake up and cut off support. |

Its likely the fact that i bet vaal temple has copied code from maps, where if you die in a boss room it wipes everything, so when you die you lose the map.
Its likely they can refine this later with more time. Since this isnt in line with their unlimited attempts philosophy they took with other pinnacles. Its also possible that since they are bosses that dont really have difficulty scaling outside of the unique effectiveness that they don't want them tried infinitely. |

" SURE !!! let us just go there and die. thats it... |

You shouldn't have a guaranteed boss kill. To me, thats bad design.
I hope in 1.0 they remove the infinite tries, or at least make the boss not drop any loot once you died x amount of times. |

problem are they want casuals to play it - when they make game for experienced players
so - there's no place for casuals nor for experienced players as casuals can only map and experienced players have only bosses to do - and entire identity of slower/methodical combat is not existing here. |
|
" Maybe there's larger picture which we do not see yet but right now I think it will be better to revert everything back to 0.1 and start over. |
|
" Thats not even close to being true. I agree though they want to force methodical gameplay then swarm you with monsters. All it does is forces speed metas. The very thing they were trying to avoid in poe2. I think cold werewolf is probably the best use of combos ive played so far. Its too fast for poe2 vision imo but i think if every classes combos felt like that more people would branch out and have fun doing more different things. |
