No citadels
|
Playing already 8 days and have met zero citadels. All quests are done.
Large piece of the map are opened, no lights in the fog. How to fix this? Where should I write? Dernier bump le 25 déc. 2025 à 20:03:15

idk I found a dual citadel cluster within like t10 map progression. Was very quick.
Path in a single direction, go to towers youll find em. Mash the clean

Hundreds of maps done, dozens of towers unlocked, endless scrolling of cleared map space, and not a single damn citadel to be found....anywhere! On top of that, GGG gates juicing behind Arbiter, and if you've been unlucky on loot/currency drops you can't even afford to buy fragments.
Can't engage in content. Can't get any decent loot to drop that's worth picking up to use for your build and when/if you do, the crafting RNG bricks the item rendering it useless for your build if you were even lucky enough to get any meaningful currency drops to even try to the slot machine mechanics GGG calls crafting. Both POE1 and POE2 are balanced around the no lifer-elitist player-base and to say otherwise is complete BS. Typical GGG RNG - or friction as they like to call it. There is a difference between making content challenging versus punishing and unrewarding with horrible RNG and giving your players the middle finger on top of that. Game performance is still in the toilet. Endless bugs, crashing, game freezes. Horrible game balance, underpowered underwhelming abilities and support gems etc. The atlas and passive trees need reworked, and endgame is still in a horrible state. If GGG can't bother to actually thoroughly test and deliver fully functional polished content, then they need to increase the time a league lasts to finish before releasing a half-baked update. Maybe they need to cut it down to just two leagues a year each for both POE1 and POE2. It seems like with every league in both POE1 and POE2 they royally screw up and then they make a "Here is what we're working on" post to try and and make things right. Hopefully this is the last league using the infinite atlas and we get a proper endgame.

" This is what I really hate about the infinite Atlas. You either get lucky with Citadels or you don’t. That’s honestly a big reason I stopped playing back in the fourth week of early access. I felt completely blocked from progressing the Atlas. I came back this league to see what had changed, and in my opinion, not much has. Back to Citadels specifically. I somehow have seven clustered around each other, while my friend, who has played more than me and has significantly more Atlas progress, has found zero. That kind of RNG just feels awful. On top of that, having only the map owner get progress toward Atlas points is also dumb. It makes group play feel punishing instead of rewarding. I really hope they remove the infinite Atlas and move back to something closer to the PoE 1 style, or at least a system that is far less RNG heavy. Locking rare tablet crafting behind the Arbiter of Ash is another terrible decision. Yes, you can technically buy them, but that misses the point. Some players simply do not have the currency to do that. |

I am nearly level 92 and have not found single (!!!) citadel
Normally I would not care but I feel I miss a lot of value from not being able to use rare tablets Please, when introducing such mandatory endgame mechanics, make sure players are not screwed by RNG, in this case, ensuring the first set of citadels always spawns relatively near the start location I dont know, Its around 100th time I can see similar stuff since PoE1 beta, always acknowledged and fixed, and one would think this should not happen any more.. Pick a direction and just keep going.
Use T1 white stones so maps are easy, your goal is just travel on the atlas map. Equip a talisman and pick dog form, 20% MS buff when youre the dog. Grab one from Act vendor, any class can use it. Stats on the item doesnt matter, all you want is access to be a dog. Equip pounce, will turn you into dog + let you jump up and down ledges or over short terrain (think logs and crates and whatever). Again dont care bout stats, just use the lowest level gem, all ya want is the mobility from jumping. Bonus if you can, equip Blasphemy w/Temp chains - this will slow down mobs and make it even easier to skate past them. Nice, but not required. If you have the int stat available for high levels you can sprint the whole map safely for even more top speed. Each map just ignore everything, dont fight, dont interact just gun for the boss area and kill it to complete the node on the atlas. Should take 2-3 minutes per map. Path towards towers as they come up to increase visibility - dont need to get everyone but if youre out on a limb and want to check around where you are grab the nearest one. Your atlas map travel speed will go through the roof. The further away from the centre of the atlas (where you start off initially) the higher the density of citadels and unique maps. I will be absolutely shocked if you follow this advice and dont find a citadel in an hour or so. I hit 9 of them yesterday in 6 a hr session. |

I've done hundreds of maps in several different directions. Its typical GGG RNG. A segment of the player-base ALWAYS gets screwed by it.
