Crafting needs some UI/UX effect feedback

It feels immeasurably dry and anhedonic doing any sort of crafting in this game. Not the outcome/reward of it, but the physical act of crafting is essentially non-existent. There’s no UI/UX feedback that something happened to an item other than a sound effect. If I play on mute I can’t even tell I modified an item.

I’m honestly not quite sure how this game with so many detailed items, materials, equipment, etc. completely missed that and went live on early access like that. There’s only 1 exception to that; Desecrating items where they have their own unique vendor with UI and effects. Why’s is this not the standard for all crafting?

Maybe we could have a crafting vendor or a crafting bench that provided similar effects to that of desecrating. Long story short, there needs to be some sort of feedback from the UI when the player modifies items. Right now it feels like I’m editing a text document instead of creating a cool item.

It seems like the UI team has to fight for basic features to be implemented in this game. I think Jonathan may be too pragmatic and severely undervalues the significance of a well designed UI/UX. Elden Ring is a game with a very minimal UI as well but that game is first foremost about the action and exploration. It doesn’t have nearly as much significance on its loot crafting and modification as PoE2.
