PoE1 is a disaster once you've played PoE2.

Not here to talk crap about PoE1, because it was my favourite ARPG, but the dodge feature is a game changer to every in every way. It's very hard to go back and I tried.

What exactly makes it better? PoE1 movement skills are doing literally the same, just faster and less clunky.

Yeah... i feel the exact opposite, the game being balanced around dodging makes it dogshit, mainly for melee.

Moreover, PoE's movement skills provide variety and thematic elements, and are not a mandatory, one-size-fits-all mechanic which dictates the flow of combat. ='[.]'=

You can't compare that to the dodge movement skill since level 1 and the game being balanced around that gameplay.

I am trying really hard, but I can't understand what are you talking about.

Is this a troll? How can you compare this clunky mechanic to the numerous movement skills we have in PoE 1. Movement skills we can customize to our heart's content by the way - by making them faster, making them deal damage, using multiple ones and so on.

Why are you conflating movement skills with a feature like a dodge roll?

It’s a separate addition to the overall game mechanics. Every ARPG has it now, and once you try it, PoE1 starts to feel outdated very quickly.
