anyone else dissapointed with the wolf summons?

since diablo 2 i loved the idea of being a druid class that summons a wolf pack to kill enemies but sadly he was weak in d2
fast forward to poe and they unfortunately only gave you wolves as a gimmicky option with a item you couldnt really build around again making it bad and now present day they did the same thing and made summoning wolves a byproduct rather then a skill which still just feels bad am i the only one who wanted a summoner druid with lots of wolves roaming maps?
