I would like some help solving my strange mystery

I was playing in the “Rise of the Abyssals” league in PoE2. After the league ended and my character was migrated to the Standard League, I was able to continue playing without any issues.

However, when a new league started, my character (still in the Standard League) suddenly lost the ability to use a wand. The first screenshot shows the wand before equipping it, and the second screenshot shows the same item after placing it in the character’s weapon slot. I would like to add that I meet all the requirements, such as character level and Intelligence.

What is the cause of this problem? I wanted to continue playing in the Standard League because, before the holidays, I have more responsibilities and overtime at work, as well as family obligations at home, and I cannot afford to start a new league. Can anyone help me solve this issue?

Existing items that have invalid Augment Sockets from the following Limit changes will be unable to be used until the Sockets are once again valid.

Restrictions on socketable items were changed with the 0.4.0 release.

Fix the runes in your wand so that they aren't in an illegal state and you'll be able to use it again.

If I understand correctly, I need to reduce the number of slots in the wand. Any ideas on how to do that?

It worked! It really was about the restrictions introduced in the latest patch: the wand can have 2 slots, but you can’t have two identical runes inserted. After replacing one of them with a different rune, everything went back to normal. Thanks to everyone who replied, and thanks for your time and willingness to help with matters like this 🙂
