Cannot activate Ailith's abilities in Hive Fortresses

I cannot activate the abilities in Hive Encounters or in Hive Encounters but in the Encounters it doesn't really matter because I kill the enemies fast enough but in Hive Fortresses when I try to heal Ailith or give her a shield the game constantly ignores my input. The result is always that Ailith dies while I try desperately to heal her. Btw why do I have to press 3 button simultaneously??? PC Players just have to press 1 and I can't even configure it. Has anyone the same problem?

@GGG please change the input method for controllers in Hive Encounters or at least give us the ability to configure the controller buttons. It's really annoying to last 23 waves and in the 24th Ailith dies because you try to get the combination right or find the right point to stand. Not fun!
