Major visual issues on Xbox Series S and X

I play with friends most of the time and we have been experiencing extreme visual issues (major frame drops to the point of being unable to move in some situations, flashing lights and visual clutter, heavy blurring/loss of visual quality)in some maps when playing together. It seems most prominent in maps with Rituals or other dense monster areas. I wanted to reach out to see if this was a common problem on Xbox (we have people on Series S and Series X, both experiencing issues).

I didn't know if this was a hardware limitation issue or if there was some kind of issue with group or console play. I am looking for any kind of help to alleviate this issue, suggested graphics settings to look at, if issues are currently being addressed, etc.

The visual problems are not as bad when playing alone, but still well outside of normal. Ex: Frame issues to the point of struggling to use potions.

We have tried the normal options of restarting consoles and such, with little to no success. Any tips?

Same thing on Xbox one for my husband and I. Between that and the fact there are no combat sounds or loot sounds path of exile is pretty much unplayable right now on Xbox one. In all the years I have played this I have never seen it this bad.

Unless you are playing an exceptionally spammy build (which I doubt) I would strongly advise uninstalling the game entirely and reinstalling it. The patching system is renowned for occasionally not quite working right and causing such issues and reinstalling it usually works. No guarentees but it’s the Ctrl-Alt-Del of PoE issues.

Extremely dense maps can cause some frame drop but not anywhere near as bad as you’re describing.
I play on Series X with a very spammy build and it gets a bit of frame drop in very high density areas but just noticeable not distracting levels.
