Life scaling is STINKY. It shouldn't be on armour pieces.

Player life scaling feels bad. Falling behind in life scaling not only makes your character easier to kill, but also easier to stun or ailment proc. All non-ES builds need life on all of their gear slots which is boring too. Max life was removed from the PoE1 to PoE2 skill tree since it was just the mandatory and superior option to other defensive layers and was very lame for stat distribution. The same should apply to armour pieces as well.

Gloves, boots, helms, body armours, and offhands have up to +149, +149, +174, +214 and +189 maximum life, excluding wimpy hybrid mods, totaling +875 life. All life mods should be removed entirely from these base types and players should instead gain an extra ~9 life per character level instead. This would make player levels more impactful and feel like a greater achievement too.

Let me clarify that I'm only saying life should be removed from the default prefix mod pool for the above item types and not from special mods, runes, uniques etc.

This would also open up a prefix slot on armour pieces which would make gearing more interesting. A few new prefixes could be introduced to the mod pools as well.

Life + ES hybrid would probably overly benefit from something like this though. Maximum ES could probably be slight nerfed on the skill tree or something since ES is already overpowered anyways, if it seems necessary.

Sure, lets give everyone + 40% movespeed and remove them from boots. Also lets give everyone + 10 level skills during leveling and remove them from gear. Oh, and dont forget the best idea: at lvl 90 the player has the option to choose from a headhunter passive or an ingenuity passive for their character, and remove those itens from the game.

Hmmmm maybe remove all chase stats and uniques and add them the tree. From now on, gear are only cosmetic.

I Love how some ppl really want to turn this game into a mobile game.

There are literally 20k Life builds atm.
Life can be a standalone layer when invested into. So Removing life from items, would remove decent amount of builds that emerged.
