Item drag and drop in hideouts and towns

Would it be better if the items that get dragged around while in hideout or town are dropped on the ground the same way they are while in maps if I click or release my click outside of my inventory or stash?
The dropped items would only be available for pick up by the one who dropped them.

Right now, if you try to drop an item from the inventory or stash on the ground while in hideout or town a pop up window shows up and says that the item cant be dropped. You are then asked if you want to destroy the item instead.

isnt there a risk (a very small one) that an important item could get destroyed by accident while dragging it from your inventory to your stash or vice versa?

You would have to click the item, start dragging it, and when the item is in the space between your inventory and stash you would have to click again in order for the pop up window to appear and then click once more and hit the destroy option for the item to get deleted. All this on accident, hence the very low likelyhood of it happenig. You need to be both reckless and unlucky at the same time basically.

But lets say you want to corrupt an equipped skill gem. You drag it from your skill window to your inventory, along with your support gems and Lineage support gems, and for some reason you carelessly click around a few times and all the gems get destroyed.
You just happen to have both Rakiatas and Ataluis as support gems. That would suck.

Maybe this is a non problem tho. I have more than a thousand hours in the game and I have never been close to destroying something accidentally and I havent heard of anyone else doing it either, but the more bullet proof the game becomes in preventing stupid misstakes the better I think.
