Literally can not play the game!

It is sad to see that the feedback section of the forum is flooded by the "no loot" and "where is the loot" entries when there is a much bigger issue with the game namely connection issues!

Connection issues have plagued both POE1 and POE2 for the last 1-2 years especially on the EU servesr and it is baffling to see that there is literally no improvement at all. Jhonathan was talking about DDoS protection and such but for the past week every night after work I login to paly poe and every single time after 30 minutes of gaming I have ping spikes to the tens of thousands. I have tried switching around the different servers which does not help most of the times and I am forced to acknowledge the fact that it is yet another day when I just can't play nor enjoy POE. I suppose this is literally a game for hardcore gamers who have 12 hours a day to play so they have a shot at playing some of it without ping spikes.

Balance, cosmetics, lore, league themes are all very important but they all worth nothing if you can not play the game at all......

I am off to take a shower with the hopes of being able to play another 15 minutes before hitting the bed when I return... I hope you are having a better luck than I have. :(

I play on EU servers myself and dont have problems since 0.3.0
Maybe a hick up sometimes but not much noticeable.

Before that i was playing on Washington servers when EU were really bad. Maybe you can try that see if it fixe your problem. The ping was around 90 for me and was not at all a problem even facing bosses with tricky timing.

I spent 550h playing PoE2 this year and I just never had any problem with ping spikes. The only thing that happened to me was getting randomly disconnected with some generic error, which happened maybe twice during all that time. I am in London area.

Just had to switch off of London area due to ping spikes. Paris server worked fine this time. I am not sure how it can happen that a server is perfectly fine for some players while others have struglles with it.

As the first commenter suggested server hopping have been my only way of solving this issue, but somtimes after the 4th server with lagg I just say "f" it I am off. Oh forgot to mention that I check my connection every time and it is perfectly fine and other games run perfectly at the same time.
