Unpopular Opinion: Old Tower System was better

I like that they made citadels more common. I like that you can go straight for bosses now if you want to finish maps.
But I preferred the old system when it comes to towers and tablets. Finding areas with overlapping towers gave you a reason to explore the map. I also preferred just having to do a tower once with 6 affixes instead of having to fully juice every waystone I do if I want the benefit of 3 tablets. I can live with what we have now. But if they were to give players the option to go back to the old system where you influenced surrounding maps by putting tablets into the towers again, I would do it in a heartbeat. Yup, Tower change was a huge mistake which didn't even target underlying issue of higher tiered maps not being rewarding enough; hence people decided to "Tower stack" and were really upset they "were required" to find 3 Tower overlaps for good loot.
Now the issue is still there, while we lost both a good goal setter for map progression (tower -> reveal area -> set new goal), and a nice way to deterministically affect maps on the Atlas ("I like Breach" -> insert tablet -> have like 10 Breach maps). |

I say let's wait for the endgame to be developed in 0.4 and then we'll judge.
