Can't sell itemised Beasts with the new trade system?

as the title says, I tried to put itemised Beasts in my merchant tabs, on playstation 5, there is the prompt (to press square to put to sell) but when you press square nothing happens.

This would be so great, instant trade was the only reason i finally wanted to try beast farming!
