New Character Creation Issue PS5

I am having an issue where I can’t seem to create a new character in POE 2. Every time I select the option from the menu I get an error message saying an unexpected disconnection occurred. I have been tryifor the past two days and I still can’t. Is this a bug on the PS5 version of the game? I have enough space to create a new character so I know that’s not the issue. Please help
