Armour/Life vs ES Suggestion/Question

I'm sure this has been talked about before, but shouldn't the roles sort of be swapped between Armour/Life vs ES?

Right now, ES characters take a bigger physical max hit than characters who specialize in armour+life. It kind of seems like a bizarre situation....you'd think the best way to deal with a big physical hit would be armour, but it's clearly ES.

Shouldn't ES be the one who struggles more with big physical hits but maybe has quicker regeneration of their pool? Maybe they are the ones who do better vs lots of little hits or slower incoming dmg?

And then life+armour would be maybe slower to recover damage to their pool but can take bigger hits without dying?

It feels like the total opposite of what it should be right now.

Same story on chaos dmg, it ends up being less of a threat to ES characters especially with so many going CI, and it is really hard to make life+armour characters able to withstand the biggest chaos hits. Again, totally flipped on the way you'd think it should be with life characters worrying less about chaos than ES characters, which currently can withstand more chaos hits due to their larger ES pool even with the x2 dmg to ES vs life.

What on earth are you talking about? Seriously. If you play ES with CI, the physical mobs are the one thing you will really despise. High ES values can tank lots of physical damage, but the advantage life/armor has over ES is the stun threshold. Life adds threshold and armor reduces the amount of physical damage you take.

If you get stunned, you die. So ES characters need to spend plenty of passive points on stun threshold. But even then taking lots of physical damage will always have the risk of you dying. Seriously, ES is not a mode of play in which you are really "tanking" damage. You have to dodge as much of the damage as possible.

As of Chaos damage, it's a huge threat on ES unless you go CI. Poison and Bleeding straight up skip the Shield. And while CI is really strong it comes with a lot of requirements in your build. All to avoid the threat of chaos.
As a level 98 hardcore lich, with 24k+ ES, I feel like it's been pretty easy to get stun threshold with very minor investment into passive tree points or jewel affixes since all of those investments scale off the huge ES number.

In this patch, you don't really need to dodge much of anything when you kill extremely fast zooming through maps and you have a massive ES pool. There just isn't much to worry about.

Only character I've died on this season has been a warrior (to a chaos dmg hit).

24k ES!!! Nice. You don't need anything else, in fact you can try play with one hand when entering in boss room...
