Path of Exile on steam

I am having a problem with the game. Every time I exit the game it keeps saying it is still running on steam. So I have to click on stop and it wont stop. So then I have to exit steam and restart it to get it to stop running. I have check the task manager through windows 11 to see if it is still running and it is not even running does'nt make any sense. Can you please fix the issue I am having it was working just fine until the last update you came out for it on Steam
