Tablet drop rate is too low. End game is becoming more Paid To Win.

I don't think I am the only person feeling this way but...

After the tower change, the drop rate for all tablets is so low that players are almost forced into a situation where you had to buy new tablets so you can enjoy content like you used to. I felt like I would have to pay a decent price if I wanted to enjoy consistent content during mapping.

Avg price for any tablets has gone up fron 2-3 ex to 50-90 ex.
The lowest price for Ritual tablet averages around 1D! (1000ex at market rate)
Almost Everything that players can get from the Ritual event has tripled in price. Crafting has become even more expensive for the average players.

I have not been buying ritual tablets for the past week, and Ritual event has appeared around maybe once across the 50 maps I have done. I am unable to get any new Ritual tablet dropping for me and thereby I would have to spend close to 1D to buy one off of the market so I can get back to doing Ritual again.

Now....I am playing trade league, so at least I can buy them. How about SSF?

Anyone else experiencing this? Any thoughts and comments?

i really hate that you can't choose do to the content you want to do - instead they feed randomness as if its a good thing

I can't even maintain maps. I haven't started worrying about tablets yet.

I haven't ran out of tablets from the overflow I had and never used, pre-patch. lol


I'm currently putting everything I have into map droprate. Even have tablets with it. Nothing, except for bosses and last rares. Usually the same level I'm already in.

Its fucked.

Obviously tablet droprate needed to be drastically adjusted due to the patch. Obviously they did not nail it.

The concept of mapping is much better this way- they just need to fix the drops. It would also be nice if they would think ahead when they make changes.

I mean it is ok to have not seen it coming but it has been 2-3 weeks since the last patch and I am surprised that they have not done anything to optimize it.

It seems to me like they are not aware that this is a problem at all. Like do they not play the game? If anyone at their company is consistently playing the end game on a daily basis I am sure they will know that the pricing for these items has gone up by an insane amount and I am sure their data scientist would have noticed that the droprate for tablets has gone down the hill....

If this was intented, then I am confused in why they would want this to be the gameplay experience.

They're probably aware. They're also probably very busy at this moment since i think poe1 is having a new league start next week or so.

I'm sure they will adress it. They might need more data also for other stuffs. Because maybe they wait to fix other stuffs alongside this.

It's prob not easy for them to juggle with both version.

For some bizarre reason very few people are aware of this issue. As far as I'm aware there are exactly 0 content creators that have even mentioned it. I doubt even GGG knows, they have their hands full with the launch of a new POE1 league right now.

A recent video by xthefamerx has actually specifically pointed out how pricing for Ritral tablet has gotten so insanely high that now might be the best time to sell them for profit (although I would much rather do them myself)

After revisiting Rax's video I believe he was more talking about the balancing between Ritual vs ERxpedition rather than tablet drop rate.
