Waystone drop rate is terrible

I've done over 30 maps, currently working on level 5, haven't lost a single one to dying, and now I've had to go buy waystones, because I've ran out. This is ridiculous. If you're not dying, you should never have a problem with having enough waystones. And getting a waystone that's one level higher should not be that hard. If someone has a build that's strong enough, they should not be held back from leveling up because finding a +1 waystone is difficult.

+1. The droprate is far worse compared to 0,3. I did some testing, with 100+ chance boss always drops one, with +200 they mostly drop 2, with less than 100 they sometimes drop nothing.

I suggest changing your atlas passives and using tablets with waystone modifiers. I find at least 1 min t15 and if I'm lucky it goes up to 5. I bought map stash tab after years for this league. I think you should follow some atlas guides.

In response to the last comment. I do. I have every "waystone drop chance" node on the Atlas Passive Tree. I just ran a map and had "107% Increased Waystones found in area", and you know how many I got? ONE. And that was at the boss that's guaranteed to drop one. With over 100% increased chance, I should have gotten two, bare minimum.

So, exactly how many you need? Seems like a weird things to run to the forums about.

Seems like a weird thing to run to the forum just to criticize other peoples grievances.

My point is, if someone wants to invest in higher chance to drop waystones, they should see a return on that investment. If waystone drop chance doesn't seem to have any affect, then it feels bad. Since you are limited on what you can invest into, you don't want to feel like the investment is wasted.

Also, it's not about getting how many you "need". It's about the player having some amount of agency. You want to have some amount of choice regarding map mods, but the only way to have any choice is to have more waystones than you need.

You should get more than one with that much quantity, that's why they're arguing on a game forum.

Unlucky, I guess. Hope you find much more in the future.

I agree something's wrong. Until GGG deals with it (which I don't expect until after the PoE1 league is delivered), maybe this will help: as soon as I level up, I buy all the waystones from Doryani, so I don't lose any if I level up again. I prioritize running tablets and waystones with +% to waystone drop. That's kept me set with waystones.
SSF Rise of the Abyssal Ice Strike Invoker, high survivability and fast clear speed. Deprioritize armor and resistances; prioritize crafting a weapon and faster start of ES recharge. Build is shown at level 47, end of Act 3. It tore through Act 3 like butter.

Tbh. the development of both games simultaneously isnt working. Its horrible especially for poe2 because its in early and EA games need more patches especially when the developer breaks something and doesnt care that its broken.

Thanks for the suggestion! Buying the maps from Doryani at each level is a great idea.
