Game Freezes in v0.3.1 — Pause (Esc) Doesn’t Work During Freeze

Game freezes have returned in version 0.3.1. During a freeze, pressing Esc doesn’t pause the game — once it unfreezes, the logout menu appears, but the game continues running in the background. Please fix this issue.

Same, as of OCT 12 2025 latest patch 0.3.1 has been causing game "freeze" every hour of game play. When playing with more than multiple players if the other player does not pause the game, the player with the "freeze" eventually dies.
