Is it just me or does Smith of Kitava have little to no representation for the cannibal god?

Like if you told me the name of this ascendancy prior to looking at the skills i would expect things like ways of inflicting corrupted blood, leech, maybe things related to consuming corpses... Visual representation isn't there either, aside from manifest weapon, perhaps.

It works as a blacksmith... i just don't see where kitava falls into all this.

The Kitava having a large focus on fire resistance and fire damage is pretty sufficient to me. I think it would be interesting to have every class have a single resistance that they can be largely immune to. Amazon - Lightning, Sorc - Cold, Chayula Monk - Chaos and so forth. You would effectively add more value to a larger range of gear instead of everyone looking for triple resistance on every single item.

The emphasis is on "smith" and they picked a god to attach pretty much arbitrarily.

Certainly another ascension could be way more Kitava-y, and there's probably another god in their lore that makes way more sense to use for a smith.
