You probably drop less because there is fixed 100% chance drop from the last rare monsters on the map. As they removed rares from minimap I think you miss last one rare and then drop less waystones.

why don't map boss have waystone drop instead??? this doesn't make sense.

They took the slider from nice and did a full roll back. You are right on tablets not dropping. I spent most of my day trying to farm them. Get a map with 100 wave drop chance. Use 3 Disgust. See what tablets fall when you do a 100% map clear. Out of 12 maps doing this set up. I ended up with 3 tablets. Better yet go try with out disgust. Whatever you feel like doing but guess what. YOULL BE GOING TO TOWERS for tablets or buy them for 120exl. whatever you feel like doing. check out the price on tabets with wave drop chance.

I doubt that's why. I think this patch intentionally nerfed the loot in order to drag out the season's economy. They saw the trajectory it was going with tower overlaps and got worried. It was sold to us as tower quality-of-life but I don't think that was the real motivation.

0.3.1 kneecapped everyone except the richest players. The current juice strats (rare monsters, +1 modifier, item rarity) has a lot of up front cost that most players can't afford.

This is what all of the "towers suck" complainers didn't understand. Yes juicing towers could get daunting. Yes it would be nice to just enter a map and get 3 divs per map. But there's no world where the developers will allow that to happen.

So there are two the developers would do:

1) Give players the option to set up conditions for a lot of loot, but that set up will take time/effort. This is what juiced tower overlaps were.

2) Simplify everything. No setup required. But to get a lot of juice you need to rely on low RNG drops (waystones, tablets) or purchasing them for a lot of currency on the market. This is where we are now.

The youtubers and nolifers will have no problem with this. They have the currency to juice their maps and land 5-10 div worth of currency per map. Now they can achieve this with no middle steps in between.

Before 0.3.1 a casual player could clear multiple towers with low tier 6 mod waystones, juice the overlaps, and clear their juiced maps with a 3-5 mod waystone at whatever tier they felt comfortable. It wasn't "max juice" but it was good enough. This is impossible now. They lose at least 1/3 of their juice by not running 6 mods 0 portals. And they have to fight bosses with giga HP just to clear nodes that are blocking access to other nodes.

Anyway this patch was obviously a ninja nerf and I'm surprised this isn't obvious to most people.

I've definitely noticed a reduction in waystone drops. I'm seeing a lot more rare and tier 2+ drops, but not waystones.

I clear the entire map every time, checking the number of monsters remaining (I'm a completionist like that).

Cant say I am seeing anything different.

There are honestly very few things I find to be more utterly ridiculous than these loot-nerf conspiracy theorists like "They told us it was about towers, but really it was all a nefarious secret plot..." like my dude they can literally change these f'ing numbers any time they want if they wanted to do it secretly why in the name of reason do you think they would need to come up with some elaborate mid-league patch to hide their true intentions?!

Absolutely not rich and my kneecaps are completely fine. I think I've made more today than on any single day prior to now and I haven't even played that much.

I wish just once one of you guys would put the amount of time you do in these posts into just gathering some basic data and reporting out your findings instead of just ranting about the "vibes" you're getting on loot drop rates.

I literally just sold off a tab full of corrupted T15s because I had more than I was ever going to run and reforged a bunch of tablets because my stash tabs were getting too full to organize easily... and like literally just look at the market the prices on Waystones haven't gone up at all. I could get 50 4-mod rare T15s for less than a divine right now.
