Support Gem Idea

After having Rapid Shot basically nuked with the addition of a 10 second cooldown once overheating.

Can we please get some support gems that affect heat and/ or cooldown time for this skill?

Maybe one to Reduce or prevent the heat buildup at the cost of some overall damage. It was cool having a heated weapon build up to its max damage over time and you could just reload (Which was its own cooldown basically), but now with the cooldown this skill is basically only useful to add damage to a grenade.

Maybe another that triggers like a cast on critical to drain heat once its maxed. Instead of having to constantly swap attacks.
Would be kind of fun to be able to have a skill that isnt a spell auto trigger once heat is built up. Drain the skill of some of its heat and then when heat builds up again, retrigger.


Maybe one to reduce cooldown time (If its not already in the game, Havent found something that works as of yet).
It feels aweful stopping the rapid shot skill just to use aanother skill while it cools down. Plain and simple.


Its a fun idea to switch to a second attack to disperse the heat buildup for added damage but in practice this feels more like a punishment for wanting to use Rapid Shot to much, (Focused on attack speed here cause I like miniguns).

Side note, Molten blast on a mercenary build has become my replacement for rapid shot. Works oddly well.

So I would like to request as well, some sort of support gem or a few that affect "Shrapnel". And maybe some skills in the skill tree that focus on shrapnel too (Unless I missed something obvious).

Shrapnel specifically, does not appear to be modified by anything which effects projectiles. Seems to only affect the base projectile before Shrapnel is created. I might have missed something here as well though.
