How do i make Ritual feel better?

160%+ Pack size, 220%+ rares on a 3 tower overrun map and i end up with less than 6k tribute. The most ive seen is 12-13k on a lucky corrupted map before update but i just dont understand how to get these to feel good. I dont even look at the gear in the window because its all dog hole and low item level.Lost a big omen because i didnt have enough tribute for it a few maps ago and that sucked. Anyone have suggestions or tips? I want to run rituals but ive been trying for days and its just not it.
