0.3.1 bricked currency drops

This is not anecdotal.

This happened to a lot of people at the exact same time, which is exactly 2 days ago during the evening.

I have maps overjuiced with 40% quantity and 250% rarity and I find vastly less currency that I did with 0.3

Whatever you've done, it's fucking terrible. Why would I keep playing in this state? The drops are bricked to the moon. I break even running over 20 maps with a very slight currency profit.

This is ridiculous, I'm using expensive tablets on top of zones already juiced. Imagine when I no longer have those zones how disgusting the game will feel.

Just delete 0.3.1 and bring back 0.3, there's no reason to keep playing if there's nothing to look for. End game is bland as fuck, the rarity monster icons removal is absolute fuckery. What the fuck is wrong with you guys?

After 9 months of illogical patches I'm absolutely convinced nobody at GGG plays their own game.
It doesn’t matter how you cut it, rare monsters, quant, or rarity, drops suck now. It feels exactly how .2 felt with loot. I found 161 Div raw (cosmetic ring stats) from .3 launch to .3.1. I’ve found 1 Div in 22 maps juiced to the gills since.

I’ve tried all methods. Loot feels horrible. They’ve ninja nerfed loot or quant or rarity. And it wasn’t explained in the patch notes. I had maps dropping 2-5 divs prior. Now I can go 10-20 maps with 1 Div maybe.

Fun fact, I ran 10 maps earlier with 200% quant and 300% rarity. My total haul was 1 DIV.

L O L. Guess level 98 is where I call it.

This belief that the only loot that matters is raw currency is a noob trap that's been around since the early days of PoE1. Let go of the mindset that the be all and end all of loot is how often you get raw divines. Pick stuff up that is worth selling.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

Not sure if this is a troll comment or serious. It doesn’t matter about belief. We’re talking about overall drops in the game being nerfed, including “stuff on the ground.” This was never spoken about.

The tower change shouldn’t have affected drop rates of all forms being cut in half from the game. An algorithm was changed and it’s evident from all the players complaining. You can cope all you want.

The title of the thread is talking about a lack of currency drops and the OP explicitly talks about finding less currency in 0.3.1.

We're not talking about a nerf to loot. We're talking about a nerf to raw currency drops.

We're not talking about a nerf to loot. We're talking about a nerf to raw currency drops.

And raw currency dropping is horribly reduced with no explanation.

If you want a simple reason that's always historically driven their balance passes over the years, it's because they're trying to keep the market stable.

More raw currency drops = inflated economy. You can already see it when you try to trade divines for exalts as you now almost need 400 of the latter. I can bet you anything that's why we don't have Tujen's haggling mechanic from PoE1 right now, or why Trial of the Sekhemas gives very little currency drops compared to Sanctum league that it was based on.

All of this is beating around the bush of them actually explaining to us what they've changed.

A stealth nerf to total raw currency drops is not the play.

Oh no, don't nerf precursors with the towers change! We are doing MF and Ritual strats we are quite happy with :(

Don't worry guys, we know about overlaps, the new Precursor Tablets will have 2- no, 3x the effect!

0.3.1 Patch Notes:
Quantity of Items on Precursor Tablets has been increased by 1.42x
Ritual has been disabled while we work out a problem with 3 spaces not being enough for the unique Ritual Precursor Tablet
