I like the maps and bosses changes but not the new tablet system

I'm happy that every map now features a boss, and the buffed bosses are exciting to fight. I also appreciate that rare monsters are no longer highlighted, since that always felt a bit cheap to me.

But I’m not a fan of the new tablet system. It feels bad and, imo, reduces the overall quality of the atlas design and gameplay loop. The previous system, where you had to discover the tower and place the tablets, felt more special and meaningful to me.

agree with everything. should of stuck with towers and innovate/build into that concept instead of scrapping it
I'm not happy with boss in every map.

Too many bosses have long enough spawn animations that kills the vibe of mapping. Waiting for fat lady to roll out in Backwash or Colosseum to walk to in Forge feels bad. They boss design is too "epic" to be in every map.

Compare to poe1 where most bosses you run into area / arena, slam them and you are done; though there are "annoying" bosses in poe1 too, you can choose to not run those maps.

I'd rather backtrack to an elite I forgot. In retrospective that wasn't that bad.

The biggest problems with bosses in maps is that they literally never drop anything good.

I have around 1600 hours in this game and I don't recall ever getting anything good from a boss fight in a map. My drops always come from rare monster and we've lost the ability to see where they are on the map.

Now "buffed" bosses takes longer to kill and they still drop absolute hot shit. This makes zero sense.

I'm all for harder bosses, even more harder than right now. But my god, why are the drops so bad? What's the purpose of fighting a boss for a long time if the result is to get served a bag of dicks?
Have to add. Had to wait 30 sec or so to the worm pop out of underground in Bloodwood.

Someone might enjoy the tension, I don't. It scared shit out of me, when it finally came out. I would never chose to run that map with a boss if I had an option. I don't anymore.

That's why I don't run "powerful boss" maps and would like the spawn animations to be gone.

Summoning monoliths kind of spawning delay is fine, their usual ones feels bad. (But summoning monoliths bosses are complete joke drop wise, not even a waystone).

I'd just treat the "small" bosses as a rare. (In fact, some rares are more challenging then unbuffed bosses).
